in our trailer we use different titles and fonts for different uses for example the two productions titles our first one is Asylum productions the design is of a old fashion video camera in a white box this was effective and it made the picture standout more due to the color cross over. we used the black and white colors as the black links to death and fear which is what we want to portray to our audience. this also links to the fear towards our antagonist as that how we want our audience to feel.our other production title is woodland films this design we based on a darker woodland area as we thought it links well to the conventions of horror. the effect of the light pushing through the darkness implys that the dark overtakes the light which suggests that the horror element of the film is high.
The other type of title we have is the name of our film as credits which is in text that links to the conventions of horror. the text is in a white color with a black back ground this is effective as it makes the text look more metallic and bold. we also have added the release date of our film in large bold text at the lower part of our screen. this is effective as it tells our audience the reales date of the film which is informative information that is conventionally seen in trailers.At the end of our trailer we made film credits that tells the audience the information about who created what we decided to have different sized font for this as after looking at other trailers this was seen in all so to give our trailer a professional look. this links the conventions of a horror genre due to the colors and font styles we used.
